What are Phase of life issues?

Anytime we step into something new, there can be lots of insecurity, loss of identity, recklessness, and worry and adjusting to these phases is a learning process. Some transitions in life are harder for others for a variety of reasons. Some of these transitions include - leaving home for the first time, marriage, parenting, divorce, career change, leaving the military, transitioning out of the military, retirement, illness, loss of financial stability, loss of an important friendship, or the loss of a loved one.

How can I get help for it?

We often put so much of our identity into the phase of life that we’re in. That’s natural and normal, but anytime you transition this can feel much like a death that you have to grieve. Also, we typically tie our value to our identity, so when something major like this changes in our life it can feel like we don’t have importance or value. Each of us carries so much value, regardless of where you are at in life. With help of counseling, you can adjust to the phase, see your worth, and hopefully, you will find that this next phase of your life can be as rewarding as the previous.
